Panthalassa
*Ocean for All

Panthalassa is Greek for "all sea", the name for the massive global superocean that surrounded the supercontinent Pangaea between 300 and 200 million years ago. It covered nearly 70% of Earth's surface, stretching from pole to pole.

Panthalassa is a public-benefit corporation building a planetary-scale energy platform that’s clean, sustainable, and low-cost. How? An impossibly complex and novel solution that transforms wave energy into fuel production via Q-tip like “nodes” floating in the South Seas. Then the output of each node has to be collected by autonomous ships and converted into hydrogen.

The challenge was first and foremost about earning trust. Trust in the technology, in the solution, in the production roadmap, and in the team. The solution was inspired by the name; Panthalassa was a promise to all for all. The plan was to activate that promise in two ways : 1. ) Keep it positive — focus on the solution and how it enables a shared outcome. 2.) Show, don’t tell. Instead of losing audiences (everyone from heads of state to the neighbors of node production plants) with serious science, help them understand enough to know this was real and could work. That meant documenting everything — from early tests in the Pacific off the coast of Oregon, to (eventually) large scale production. The proof was in the photography.

And it did. Panthalassa raised a Series A in 2024 for $53 Million, and a Series B in May 2026 for $140 Million. Today, the B-Corp is valued at $1 Billion (as of June 2026).
